Susie Brady of Lumberton presented her uniquely designed Christmas ornament to the White House for display on the official White House Christmas tree.

Brady was nominated by Congressman Mike McIntyre in this special event.

Brady created an ornament that was patterned as a quilt with different patches that symbolized unique aspects of life in Southeastern North Carolina.   Included among these were: tobacco leaf, school house, Bar-B-Que, cardinal, shell, pine needles and pine cone, dream catcher, watermelon, and fish.

What do you think of her North Carolina themed ornament?
